Travis Scott Releases New Album ‘Utopia’

The latest album from Travis Scott is called “Utopia.”

The event at the Pyramids of Giza, which Scott had initially planned to use to debut new songs from the record, was postponed on July 26 due to “complex production issues.” Although a new date has not yet been revealed, the show is still being postponed.

The album features guest appearances from Beyoncé on “Delresto (Echoes),” Drake on “Meltdown,” and others. “My Eyes,” “Telekinesis,” and “Looove” all include Justin Vernon and Sampha from Bon Iver, SZA, and Future, and Kid Cudi.

Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, a member of Daft Punk, co-produced “Modern Jam.” On “Circus Maximus,” along with India and Young Thug, are The Weeknd and Swae Lee.Arie make an appearance on “Skitzo,” and Dave Chappelle shows up on “Parasail.”

Kanye West and James Blake are both given credit on the album.

Before the release of “Utopia,” Scott teased the album by releasing a few new songs and starting a nightclub residency dubbed “Road to Utopia.” It was announced earlier this week that the album’s accompanying movie, “Circus Maximus,” will feature the works of five different directors.

This is Scott’s first studio album since his disastrous 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston, where a crush of festivalgoers resulted in 10 fatalities and hundreds of injuries.
