That exactly is the approach Spencer Tunick took at Sydney’s Bondi Beach in Australia to raise awareness for skin cancer.

The United States-based photographer organized 2,500 people in Australia to strip nude and take up poses in a bid to raise a concern about skin cancer.

Spencer Tunick directed the large crowd of people using a megaphone.

The event had the backing of the law after some changes in enactments enabled a section of the beach to be declared a temporary nude beach.

According to Spencer who is renowned for organizing large mass nude photoshoots, asking people to go completely naked for the photoshoot was aimed to serve as a reminder for people to get checked for skin cancer.

The event also sought to raise awareness of melanoma, the fourth most common type of cancer in Australia, where estimates suggest 17,756 new cases of skin cancer leads to 1281 deaths in the country.
