Patriots extend their lead to 13 consecutive wins against the Jets

It was a good week for the Patriots, as they extended their lead against the Jets to 13 consecutive games, after beating them by 22-17 at Metlife stadium.

The win against the Jets strengthened the Patriot’s points, leaving them in a good spot to fight for second place.

Jets quarterback, Zach Wilson only completed 20 of 41 pass attempts for 355 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions alongside some awful throws.

Before the match, the Jets took pride in an awesome four-game unbeaten run but they hosted the Patriots that they had not beaten in seven years.

Patriots on the other hand were struggling to fight for a good position as they were losing. Although they struggled with form this season, they were able to protect their legacy.

The Jets took an early lead and Wilson played well in the first half finding a groove with the rookie receiver Garrett Wilson, the No. 10 overall pick in this year’s N.F.L. draft, and scoring the game’s first touchdown on an 8-yard pass to tight end Tyler Conklin.

But towards the end of the first half, everything became sloppy.

With two minutes remaining before halftime, the Jets stopped New England on a fourth-and-1 at the Jets’ 21-yard line, holding on to a 10-3 advantage.

The Patriots kicked a field goal to end the half and scored a touchdown to begin the next, a goal their opponents have come to dread through the years.

The Jet’s offense was not pleasing to the eyes. They only managed just 51 rushing yards against New England, putting more pressure on Wilson, who admitted to forcing some throws, including his last interception.

Wilson did throw a second touchdown pass, in the game’s final minutes against the Patriots. But by then, most of the home fans were very frustrated.
