Isaiah Likely was chosen in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 22-year-old was a standout at Coastal Carolina, where he scored five touchdowns and made a name for himself as a legitimate receiving option.
He accomplished the feat again in his sophomore and junior seasons before solidifying his position as one of the top tight ends in the country in his senior year. In his final season in Conway, South Carolina, Likely caught 59 passes for 912 yards and was named All-Sun Belt.
Isaiah Likely has the kind of frame that makes NFL scouts salivate at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds.
He is extremely athletic for a tight end, so much so that some colleges recruited him as a wide receiver. Additionally, NFL teams highly value his ability to move quickly off the line.
He demonstrated his amazing skill set on Sunday night. On his way to an eight-catch, 100-yard day, Isaiah likely showed off a flair for huge plays, sure hands, and good route running.
Likely’s performance on Sunday confirmed his place as a player for the present and the future after he recorded four receptions for 44 yards in the first preseason game.
