After more than 41 years of employment with the business, Scott T. Greene, executive vice president of Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), announced today that he will retire on December 31, 2022.

He will continue in this position until a replacement is found. Greene served as MFC’s vice president of Tactical & Strike Missiles before being appointed executive vice president.

In the fields of Hypersonic Weapon Systems, Long Range Precision Fires, Close Combat Systems, Strike Systems, and Advanced Programs, he had complete managerial, operational, and financial accountability.

Greene held a number of positions with increasing responsibility throughout his Lockheed Martin career before managing the Tactical & Strike Missiles division.

“We are grateful for Scott’s service to our customers, the company, and for his strategic leadership of our $11 billion MFC portfolio that provides advanced technology and mission-driven solutions for military customers.”

“Including the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, the Missile Defense Agency, Special Operations Forces, and allied nations,” Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO James Taiclet said.

“The entire Lockheed Martin team thanks Scott for his steadfast leadership and dedication to our customers’ missions. We congratulate him on his upcoming retirement.”

Lockheed Martin Shooting

Scott Greene’s retirement comes on the heels of an incident earlier this year that left a 60-year-old man dead after a shooting that occurred at the Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth on May 19.
