According to a statement published by the company that produces Premier Protein on Friday, food service provider Lyons Magnus voluntarily recalled 53 beverage goods due to a potential Cronobacter sakazakii contamination.
Certain kinds of beverages, liquid coffee, pediatric nutritional supplements, protein shakes, nutritional shakes, and thickened liquids are among the products that are being returned.
Some products with the names Oatly, Stumptown, Glucerna, Intelligentsia, Aloha, Kate Farms, and Premier Protin are among those affected.
According to the manufacturer, no illnesses or complaints linked to these goods have been received. The recalled products should be thrown away or returned for a refund, according to the instructions on the packaging.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Infection, cronobacter is a bacteria that can be found in sewage water and dry items.
Infection can be especially deadly for newborns, seniors, and those with compromised immune systems. Fevers, meningitis, and infantile seizures are among the symptoms.
Products made for children under 1 are not included in the recall. A separate recall of powdered infant formula, which is still in progress, is being driven by the bacteria.
