During a tumultuous night in Boston, 11 people in total were shot during a period of slightly more than six hours.
Seven shooting events were investigated by Boston police in total.
On Woodbole Ave., the first shooting was reported on Sunday night at about 10:45 p.m. A child sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
On Greenville Street, a guy was shot less than 20 minutes later. He was sent to a nearby hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Boston Police observed a car departing the area while they were there. The driver had been shot. The suspect will remain in police detention as a result of the discovery of a pistol in the automobile till he is charged.
Three guys were shot near Washington and Bailey Streets on Monday at about 12:15 a.m. All three were taken to the hospital, while a fourth man was admitted to a nearby hospital with less serious wounds.
About an hour later, a guy was shot on Monsignor Reynolds Way, although his injuries weren’t life-threatening.
A guy was shot on Elizabeth Street at 2:20 in the morning, suffering critical wounds. He was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital.
A few minutes later, Boston Medical Center received word of a patient arriving at the facility with non-life-threatening wounds.
Just before 5 a.m., the night’s last occurrence took place. On Garfield Avenue, Boston Police officers discovered several empty shot casings and pyrotechnics. Additionally, a woman who had been struck by a bullet that had entered her house was discovered. The woman received treatment on the spot and didn’t need to go to the hospital.
