Stephanie McMahon, WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, revealed on Twitter that she will be taking a leave of absence from the company.
“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” McMahon said on Twitter Thursday.
“WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family,” she continued.
There was no further justification given for her absence.
Stephanie McMahon, 45, is the daughter of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, and she is married to Triple H, who is WWE’s executive vice president of global talent strategy and development.
Stephanie McMahon’s statement follows Triple H’s March announcement of his retirement from ring action.
After about with viral pneumonia in September, Triple H had heart failure and revealed in March that he had a defibrillator implanted in his chest.
Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have three daughters together: Aurora Rose, 13, Murphy Claire, and Vaughn Evelyn, 11 years old.
Sasha Banks and Naomi, the Women’s Tag Team Champions, just fled the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, during WWE’s Raw program after being announced for the main event. WWE changed its plans for Monday’s main event as a result of the incident.
