Jack Hinshelwood scored a winner in the 84th minute of the game for Brighton in a 2-1 win against Brentford on Saturday at a rainy Amex Stadium, after his comeback, pushing his side to the fifth position in the Premier League table.

Igor Thiago scored the first goal for Brentford after successfully converting a penalty in the 29th minute to a goal resulting from a mistimed challenge by Carlos Baleba.

Brighton, losing 0-1 to their opponent, continued to push for an equaliser or a win until luck shone on them when Danny Welbeck scored an equalizer in the 71st minute, after firing into Brentford’s net a brilliant cross from Yankuba Minteh, earning him his seventh goal in seven league games.

Hinshelwood, who returned after missing seven games due to an ankle ligament injury he sustained, returned as a substitute to score the winning goal.

Brighton took dominance of the game in the closing minutes of the game, while Brentford almost got an equaliser in the stoppage time when Kevin Schade secured a penalty.

As the game proceeded, goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen saved a brilliant attempt from Thiago’s second spot-kick, earning a good win for Brighton.
