A youthful squad of Arsenal defeats Brighton 2-0 to fire the Gunners into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, courtesy of goals from both Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri. Arsenal's head coach, Mikel Arteta, had the youngest guys in it, including the team's youngest-ever starter, Max Dowman, who is just 15 years old, and Andre Harriman-Annous, who is 17 years old. The first 45 minutes of the game ended in a tie, with both sides being unable to find the net, but Georginio Rutter and Stefanos Tzimas of Brighton saw beautiful opportunities, but they missed them. But Arsenal took dominance immediately when the second half started. Arsenal's first goal came in after Mikel Merino did a backheel that located Myles Lewis-Skelly, who then converted it into a low cross, and Nwaneri calmly converted it into a goal. Bukayo Saka, who came in as a substitute in the second half, sealed the victory with his goal after he converted an assist from Harriman-Annous. The win makes it the Gunners' 11th game undefeated and sixth straight clean sheet. Arsenal will welcome Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals as their young squad continues to wax stronger in their matches under the guidance of coach Mikel Arteta.
