The chess world has lost a very talented player, Daniel Naroditsky, an American chess grandmaster, as reported by the Charlotte Chess Center, where he was their head coach. Charlotte Chess Centre did not state the cause of his death. The late American chess grandmaster, who was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, started the chess game as a youngster at a time when he was less than seven years of age and attained the position of a grandmaster before he became a high school graduate. He became famous for his wins in his early years, winning the 2007 World Youth Chess Championship (Under-12), and then became a graduate of Stanford University in 2019 with a degree in history. Naroditsky was also popular for his talent as a writer and teacher; he authored two chess books as a teenager and became a writer for The New York Times and Chess Life. During his career day, he built a very large followership of 340,000 on Twitch and almost half a million on YouTube, making the game accessible to lovers across the globe. Tributes are pouring in from different quarters, including colleagues and different organizations, including the International Chess Federation and Saint Louis Chess Club, which credited him as a “beloved pillar” of the chess world.
