A legend of the Chicago Cubs and Hall of Famer, Ryne Sandberg, is dead at the age of 65 after a tough fight against metastatic prostate cancer. The news of the sportsman's death was shared with the public by the Chicago Cubs, where it was mentioned that he died at his home on Monday. Sandberg had earlier announced his diagnosis early last year, briefly went into remission, but the cancer did not leave, and returned massively to fight back in late 2024. He had an outstanding performance on June 23, 1984, and was celebrated with a statue at Wrigley Field.
