Butler To Sign New $111 Million Deal With Warriors From Heats

Miami Heat’s star Jimmy Butler has reportedly ended his stint with the franchise and would sign a whole new deal with the Golden State Warriors.

The veteran player would sign a $111 million deal that would see him play for the Warriors through the 2026-27 season. However, he would decline his $52 million deal for next season with the Heats as per his contract.

Butler was not the first choice for the Golden State, as they previously approached hotshot Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. However, their offer was declined as Durant did not want to play for the Warriors again.

Although the deal with Butler is yet to be finalized, as there are a few conditions that need to be met, both franchises are still working on a compromise. The Warriors would also send forwards Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson, along with a guaranteed top 10 2025 first-round pick to sweeten the deal.

Trying to keep his emotions in check, Heats forward Nikola Jovic spoke highly of Butler and what the veteran meant to the team.

“He’s someone who did a lot for this franchise,” Jovic said of Butler.

“He’s someone who helped me so much that I’m not sure if I’d be here right now if there wasn’t him. I’m sad and happy at the same moment. Sad you’re not going to see him anymore. But I’m really happy that he got what he wanted.”

Warriors star player, Steph Curry could not also contain his excitement as he would love to work with Butler.

“We know who Jimmy is. Being in two Finals, he’s a winner,” Curry said.

“I understand there’s a lot of drama down there, and who really knows what the story is. We expect to have a motivated, committed Jimmy that’s ready to impact our team for the better.”
