The Washington Commanders came flat after struggling in their final match before the postseason started, thrashing the Dallas Cowboys 9-3 in Arlington.
Washington Commanders delivered an unimpressive display as they played for the sixth deal to boycott a first-round trip to Philadelphia.
The team also managed four first downs during the first half, including 64 yards.
Jayden Daniels, who plays quarterback, finished 6-of-12 passes for 38 yards while he also added 27 rushing yards on four carries.
Daniels was excused from the game at halftime as the postseason drew nearer and was replaced by Marcus Mariota, who stars for the team in the second half.
The Cowboys team, which was less by Trey Lance, a third-string quarterback, witnessed mixed results. Lance finished 14-of-24 passes for 167 yards, while Dallas had a difficult time in the red zone, going 0-for-4.
The Commanders’ inability to deliver a good performance raised concerns as they get ready to feature in their playoff run while the Cowboys still stay at the top with a third-quarter field goal.
