Nottingham Forest’s star Nuno Espirito Santo gave a clinical finish to earn the team a 3-0 win against Wolves, coming in third place on the league table and six points behind league leaders Liverpool and sharing the same points with Arsenal.
Forest will battle Liverpool in their next outing as they move closer to clinching the Premier League title this time.
Morgan Gibbs-White, who formerly played for Wolves, scored early in the 7th minute for Nottingham Forest. Chris Wood scored the second goal before the end of the first half. Taiwo Awoniyi, who came in as a substitute, scored the last goal to seal the win and move the team closer to Liverpool.
Wolves also created good opportunities to change the game, but Matz Sels, whose effort was outstanding, denied Jorgen Strand Larsen, whose follow-up strike was cleared off the line by Murillo.
The recently hired Wolves’ head coach, Vitor Pereira, swallowed his first loss, with his team sitting in 17th place in the Premier League table, only leading Ipswich Town on goal difference.
Wolves suffered another embarrassing night despite missed chances that could have created promising moments as Forest was up to the task in both defense and attack.
