
A popular actress, Leslie Charleson, who was widely known for her time on General Hospital as Monica Quartermaine, died on Sunday at 79 years old, after a long battle with sickness.
Leslie Charleson became a part of the soap in 1977 and stayed as a beloved member of the cast crew for more than 40 years, appealing to fans and viewers with great storylines like Monica’s battle against breast cancer.
She was nominated four times for Daytime due to her powerful performance.
She was born in Kansas City and began acting in 1964 starting with “A Flame in the Wind”. She also featured in prime-time hits including Happy Days and The Rockford Files.
Leslie Charleson has a movie credited to her during her lifetime titled “The Day of the Dolphin” released in 1973 with Shelley Winters.
She did not feature in more movies recently because of her health issues and falls, and last appeared on-screen in December 2023. She left behind a legacy in the Hollywood industry that will not be easily forgotten.
