NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero explained that a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts, was fined earlier in the week the sum of $5,628 for wearing mismatched cleats of the team’s official colors. See the closeup picture below:
The quarterback gave the excuse that the footwear that he planned to wear did not arrive at the stadium early, causing him to wear a mismatched pair.
Hurts, who has just been fined for wearing mismatched cleats, mentioned that he might wear the same cleats again, and he fulfilled that promise.
Jalen Hurts wore the two-colored cleats again on the field during the team’s Sunday match against the Washington Commanders, still knowing that he might be fined again for doing so.
Hurts performed extraordinarily in last weekend’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, shutting critics up in the Eagles.
He was able to complete 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards; he successfully threw two touchdowns and also added 45 rushing yards, including a touchdown, in a 27-13 win.
The Eagles match against Washington will start at exactly 1:00 p.m. ET. While fans will also await to know if Hurts will be okay again with mismatched cleats.
