Celtic secured a 0-0 draw against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League, cementing their unbeaten run to four games and helping them to keep their hopes of progression alive.

The side of Brendan Rodgers has accumulated only nine points in all their matches and has only two games in the group stage to go, one in January against the Young Boys and the away game in Aston Villa.

Celtic was all over the match as they put a lot of pressure to steal an away win, but the game ended in a goalless draw. They controlled the possession and an early courage. The last time that Celtic had an away win in the Champions League was against Anderlecht in 2016.

While there were lapses from the side of Dinamo Zagreb, the team did well in the defense. They are currently struggling to stay in form and also have players who are battling injuries at the moment.

Celtic Stole as much as a few numbers away from 70% possession in the first half without a goal, the team also missed a beautiful opportunity from Paulo Bernardo’s 20-yard free kick that narrowly missed the target.

Dinamo were able to save themselves through a counter-attacking threat, with two clear opportunities being missed by Sandra Kulenovic. While both teams could not score a goal in the first half, they increased the pressure in the second half, creating more chances. Kyogo and Carter-Vickers, both Celtic stars, came close to scoring while Martin Baturina created an opportunity for Dinamo.

Dinamo almost snatched victory late, but goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel’s brilliant save denied Marko Pjaca’s header. The stalemate leaves Celtic in a strong position heading into the final group games.

Dinamo came close to scoring a late goal, but the attempt was denied by Celtic’s goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, through his brilliant save that denied a header from Marko Pjaca.
