Video: Tesla Bans Fousey From Using Autopilot Due To Inattentiveness

Streamer Yousef Fousey was suspended from driving with Tesla’s autopilot for 6 days because of multiple infractions. Video making rounds on social media showed him live streaming in the driver’s seat with a dog on him while the car was in motion on autopilot.

“Did I lose autopilot”, Fousey asked in utter confusion and astonishment as the vehicle’s warning system came up, informing him that his full self-driving feature had been suspended for one week, and disengaged him from autopilot. Video below:

Tesla put the feature as a form of punishment to erring drivers to ensure attentiveness and limit improper usage of the supervised FSD.

Fousey is a video content creator known for his penchant love to breaking rules. The popular Kick streamer had been banned from the platform twice this year after informing his viewers that he would harm himself and going physical with his manager. Before he would be reinstated, the YouTuber moved to Twitch where he had received a total of 6 bans!

As part of the regulations guiding autopiloting, Tesla’s full self-driving requires the active supervision of the driver, including the ability to apply the brakes when necessary. The car’s autopilot feature can be suspended for 7 days when a user receives a strikeout. A strikeout occurs when the autopilot disengages due to a driver not being attentive.

But if Tesla’s system can detect when one is not paying attention to the road and penalize them, how was a dog seen alone inside a Tesla driving on autopilot escape been detected?
