Sources confirm that President-elect Donald Trump is reported to be tipping Kelly Loeffler for the position of Secretary of Agriculture due to their knowledge about the issue.
The president-elect is expected to join Loeffler on Friday afternoon at Mar-a-Lago; the final decision will not be made until the official announcement.
Loeffler had once served in a short time as a Georgia senator and has been a very loyal supporter of Donald Trump.
She also raised millions for the president-elect’s recent campaign while she co-hosted a fundraiser with Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley.
Loeffler will also be co-chairing Mr. Donald Trump’s inauguration. Other prominent individuals who were at the event include Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Elise Stefanik.
If the decision to make her the Agriculture Secretary is true and she is finally pronounced, the position could be a popular one as former independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is now the Health and Human Services nominee, has promised to influence the agriculture industry.
Loeffler was appointed to the Senate by the Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp but lost her seat in a 2021 contest against Senator Raphael Warnock.
She was also behind Trump when he challenged the 2020 election results but withdrew her objections when the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, happened. She also did not hide her words behind her tongue when she labeled the attack “abhorrent” and also testified in the former president’s Georgia election subversion case.
