Rapper Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, is expecting her first child, as revealed in a touching music video released on Thursday.
The 51-year-old Grammy winner shared the news through visuals accompanying his song “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey, from his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).” The video chronicles Eminem and Hailie Jade’s relationship through a collection of home videos and photographs spanning over two decades. The “Godzilla” rapper had previously dedicated songs to his daughter, such as the popular “Mockingbird” and “Hailie’s Song.”
Before the “Temporary” music video gets to the end, 28-year-old Hailie Jade surprises her father with the news of her pregnancy. While Eminem is sitting on the wooden stairs, she walks up to him and hands him a blue football jersey emblazoned with “Grandpa” and the number 1, along with ultrasound images. The father of three looked shocked as he turned the photos to the camera.
Following the video’s release, Hailie Jade confirmed the news on her Instagram account, captioning a post with “Mom & dad est. 2025.” This announcement comes just months after her wedding to longtime partner Evan McClintock, whom she met at Michigan State University in 2016.
The couple got engaged last year in February after dating for 6 years. McClintock, speaking on Hailie Jade’s podcast, shared the story of asking for Eminem’s blessing during Hailie’s birthday celebration in December 2022.
“I saw your dad go downstairs, and I’m like, ‘I gotta do it right now,'” McClintock recounted. “So I just followed him downstairs, and, thankfully, he was just down there getting your cake and made it happen.”
