A social media user is claiming that an ABC News whistleblower wishes to come forward with evidence that the recently held Presidential debate was rigged.
After Tuesday night’s debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, an account on X, @DocNetyoutube, posted that they would be “releasing an affidavit from an ABC whistleblower regarding the debate” and that they had just concluded a meeting with the individual’s attorney where they signed a non-disclosure agreement. They have also promised to drop the evidence before the weekend runs out.
The post, which has been retweeted over a thousand times, was made on Thursday and has since received more than 2 million views. According to Newsweek, other accounts of MAGA supporters, such as @ChuckCallesto and @RealBenGeller, have also joined in pushing the post to gain more traction online.
With three days left till the end of the weekend, many are now waiting to see if the X account will actually provide real evidence that the unconfirmed ABC News whistleblower claims to have.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for ABC News has denied any wrongdoing during the debate, stating that Kamala Harris did not receive any debate questions in advance. They also strongly denied the claims made by Trump and his campaign that the network had given Harris an unfair advantage.
Right after the debate, Kamala Harris was accused of using a wireless audio earbud to cheat by secretly communicating with someone on her team. An online photo showed her wearing earrings that closely resembled Nova’s H1 Audio Earrings, but the authenticity of the photo has not been confirmed.
During his segment, Sky News host James Macpherson criticized the debate moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, for rushing to fact-check the Republican candidate while failing to do the same for his Democratic rival. He claimed that the two consistently ignored the “mistruths” that the Vice President was telling throughout the debate. James also went on to play videos posted online that support what Trump said about residents, including immigrants, eating pets in Springfield.
Kamala Harris has requested for a second debate but Donald Trump turned it down.
