Missing 8-Year-Old Girl In Ohio Drove 20km From Home To Buy Frappuccino

Missing 8-Year-Old Girl From Ohio Found At Target After Taking Mother's Car Out For A Long Drive

An 8-year-old girl, whose identity has not been revealed, was reported missing in Ohio on Sunday morning around 9 a.m. by her family.

When the Bedford police officers arrived, the family informed them that the girl was last seen at home at 7 a.m. and that one of their vehicles was also missing. Fortunately, a neighbor had camera footage showing the child leaving in the family’s 2020 Nissan Rouge, which proved valuable in helping the officers narrow down their investigation.

According to the Bedford Police Facebook post, after some time, they found the vehicle parked outside a Target store in Bainbridge. They also located the girl inside the store, holding a recently purchased frappuccino. Despite driving about 20 kilometers from her house and admitting to hitting a mailbox on her way to the Target store, the girl appeared unharmed.

WEWS-TV reported that Target employees were astonished to witness a little girl entering the store with over $400, shopping for items, and heading to the checkout. Police stated that it’s unlikely for the 8-year-old to face any criminal charges. The child has since been reunited with her family in Ohio and the police did let her finish her frappuccino before taking her home.
