Former President Donald Trump and the current Vice President Kamala Harris are ready to debate on ABC on September 10, after the Republican candidate announced on Thursday that he has agreed.
Trump showed his readiness for the debate with Kamala Harris and confirmed that he will be participating in other debates that feature Fox News, ABC, and NBC at a press conference that was held at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
A senior Trump adviser who is also an ABC insider said that the debate dates are September 4 with Fox News, September 10 with ABC, and September 25 with NBC.
VP Harris had already agreed to be on the ABC debate on September 10, which was previously agreed to by Trump and President Joe Biden before the latter withdrew from the race to support his vice president, Harris. But Trump has hinted that he will not feature in the debate with Harris unless she is also available for the debate with Fox News on September 4.
The Kamala Harris campaign has said that they did not think that the vice president would not concede to the Fox News debate.
A source within NBC expressed that September 25 was one of the proposed dates for the debate. The Harris campaign has yet to formally confirm, while NBC has been in discussions with both campaigns.
Details about the debate, including its venue, rules, and moderators, will be revealed closer to the event.
