A 10-year-old Bella Thomson, who is known to her followers on social media as “Bella Brave,” has just passed away. She died peacefully on July 14 at 4:19 p.m. ET. The young girl had been an inspiration to many through her vibrant personality and courageous battle with multiple health conditions.

Bella’s mother, Kyla Thomson, announced the news via TikTok, sharing a video of her daughter dancing.

In her statement, Kyla encouraged Bella’s followers to “please keep her name on your lips, her memories alive and her bravery in your hearts.”

The young social media star had been facing serious health challenges throughout her life, including Hirschsprung’s disease, a rare bowel illness, and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID).

Her journey, documented by her parents Kyla and Lyle, garnered widespread attention and support on various social media platforms.

Just days before her passing, Bella had been placed in a medically induced coma due to complications from a viral lung infection.

This setback came after what had seemed to be a successful bowel transplant in August 2023, which her mother had hoped would be “the last medical trauma she would ever have to endure.”

Despite the challenges she faced, Bella Brave was known for her resilience and positive outlook. When asked about her thoughts on Heaven by a news outlet, PEOPLE, she described it as having “a lot of clouds, a big castle built of clouds. God would be there.”

Kyla Thomson emphasized her daughter’s impact, stating, “Don’t ever stop sharing her love and light. Don’t let her memory ever fade. Continue to be brave, be closer to God, and love each other fiercely, for her.”

Funeral arrangements for Bella have not yet been announced. Her legacy as “Bella Brave” continues to inspire many, embodying her mother’s words: “Though she be but little, she is fierce.”
