Yankees’ Aaron Judge Out Of Wednesday’s Starting Lineup, Listed As Day-To-Day

Aaron Judge is not in the Yankees’ starting lineup on Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles, manager Aaron Boone announced before the game.

This decision follows Judge’s hit-by-pitch on the hand on Tuesday, which forced him to leave the game.

Boone informed reporters that while Judge’s hand is still sore (though improving), he managed to take some swings in the cage. The hope is that Judge will return for Thursday’s series finale, but he remains day-to-day.

After Wednesday’s game, Judge reassured fans by stating that his X-ray and CT scan results were negative, and he will be ready to play soon.

In Judge’s absence, Trent Grisham is playing center field and batting ninth.

The Yankees aim to secure the second game of their three-game series with Baltimore at Yankee Stadium, with Gerrit Cole making his long-awaited season debut.
