Video: A woman who killed her boyfriend by suffocation after having him zipped and locked inside a suitcase while she recorded & taunted him, is finally standing trial on 7 October 2024.
Sarah Boone had probably evaded trial after requesting to change her lawyers 8 times.
Boone was charged with second-degree murder after she killed 42-year-old Jorge Torres, Jr., in February 2020 in their home in Winter County, Florida.
Boone who was dating Torres made him enter the suitcase and allowed her to zip it close. She then recorded with her mobile phone while laughing as he pleaded to be released and said he could not breathe.
“Yeah, that’s what you do when you choke me,” Boone replied in the video.
“That’s on you…that’s what I feel like when you cheat on me,” she said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office in a statement said Torres “died after Boone zipped him into a suitcase and didn’t return for hours”.
Boone claimed Torres died as a result of a hide-and-seek game gone wrong. According to her, she fell asleep when Torres was inside the suitcase and later woke up to discover him lifeless.
The suspect pleaded not guilty and was held without bond, and has evaded trial over the past four years after changing 8 lawyers.
Her previous lawyer, Patricia Cashman, withdrew from the case after citing irreconcilable differences and ethical considerations. She said that Boone was uncooperative and would walk out during their meetings.
Boone’s issues with several attorneys include calling one “too snotty” and another a “dud” and “buffoon.”
