A viral video captured Biden mumbling incoherent words at the 2024 US Presidential debate after which a dismayed Trump said “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either.”
Watch below:
President Joe Biden and his Republican contender, former President Donald Trump, faced off in the maiden debate of the 2024 United States presidential race, both striving to earn a significant advantage in what has been a closely contested presidential race all along.
President Biden encountered difficulty clearly articulating his points several times, appearing to fumble for his words despite being the candidate to deliver the opening remarks in Thursday’s face-off.
Trump was quick to use the opportunity to move the conversation to Biden’s perceived weaknesses, stirring up concerns about immigration and the state of the economy.
Trump also didn’t directly reply to questions on whether he would accept the results of the November 5 presidential election, stating he would only do so if it was “fair” and “free.” He brought up false claims that the 2020 election was rigged.
At a point in the debate, the former president said, “The fraud and everything else was ridiculous,” casting doubt on President Biden’s 2020 victory.
Trump is at the moment battling two criminal indictments—one in Georgia and another in Washington, DC—in regards to his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
