Jake Paul To Face Mike Perry On Original Mike Tyson Fight Date

Jake Paul won’t be waiting until Nov. 15 to return to the boxing ring. Instead of waiting for his rescheduled fight with legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson, Paul will face mixed martial artist and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s “Platinum” Mike Perry in an eight-round cruiserweight bout at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Originally, Paul was scheduled to fight Tyson at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20, an event that was to be livestreamed on Netflix. However, Tyson, 57, had to withdraw due to medical issues, leading to the fight being rescheduled for Nov. 15.

Rather than wait for the new date, Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) chose to stay active and will now fight the undefeated BKFC fighter in an event titled “Fear No Man,” available via DAZN Pay Per View.

Perry (5-0, 3 KOs BKFC) spent seven years in MMA, debuting with the UFC in 2016. With a UFC record of 7-8, he transitioned to BKFC in 2021, where he became a star, defeating former UFC champions Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez. His victory over Alvarez earned him the “King of Violence” title.

Amanda Serrano, whose rematch with Katie Taylor was also delayed to Nov. 15, will instead face Stevie Morgan (14-1, 13 KOs) in a 10-round junior welterweight bout as the co-main event. Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs), 35, has been inactive since October 2023 and chose to fight rather than wait until November.

Morgan, 35, a Tampa native, has primarily competed in Colombia since turning pro in 2022. Known for her knockout power, she faces a significant challenge against Serrano.

The card will also feature unbeaten lightweight prospects Tony Aguilar (12-0-1, 4 KOs) and Corey Marksman (9-0-1, 7 KOs) in a rematch. Their last fight in February ended in a split draw on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects series.

Undefeated lightweight Ashton “H2O” Sylve (11-0, 9 KOs) is also set to appear. Originally scheduled to fight fellow unbeaten Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield on July 20, Sylve will face a new opponent due to Schofield’s injury. The new opponent will be announced soon.
