Reggie Jackson Acknowledges Timberwolves Are Testing Denver’s ‘Will And Manhood’

The Minnesota Timberwolves displayed a defensive masterclass, akin to the Grim Reaper claiming souls, as they seized a commanding 2-0 lead over the Denver Nuggets in the conference semifinals on Tuesday night.

Following a dismal offensive performance that saw the Nuggets scoring a season-low of 80 points, guard Reggie Jackson didn’t mince words during his postgame interview with reporters.

“This is a test of just, it looks like right now of our will and our manhood,” Jackson said. “We have to go ahead and hold our ground, own our space and then I think if we do that we can give ourselves an actual chance to win. “

Minnesota employed a relentless defensive strategy, accumulating 12 blocks and 11 steals while limiting Denver to a mere 34.9% shooting from the field.

“Gotta punch a bully in the mouth. That’s exactly what they’re doing to us,” Jackson said.

“They punked us,” Jackson continued. “They were literally just manhandling us.”

Game 3 between the Timberwolves and the Nuggets is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 p.m. CT in Minneapolis.
