Nikola Jokic Surpasses Steve Nash On NBA’s All-Time List During Nuggets-Timberwolves Game

On Friday evening, the Denver Nuggets faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minnesota for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.

During this game, two-time MVP Nikola Jokic achieved a significant milestone in NBA history, surpassing Tom Heinsohn, Steve Nash, Jaylen Brown, and Moses Malone to secure the 60th spot on the all-time playoff points list.

Jokic displayed remarkable performance statistics, recording 20 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and three blocks. He shot 8 for 14 from the field and 1 for 3 from three-point range within the first 34 minutes of gameplay.

With the Nuggets trailing 2-0 in the series, securing a victory in this game was crucial to avoid falling into a daunting 0-3 deficit.

In the most recent encounter, the Timberwolves triumphed over the Nuggets in Game 2 with a final score of 106-80. During that game, Jokic contributed 16 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, and one block while shooting 5 for 13 from the field and 0 for 1 from beyond the arc within 34 minutes of playtime.

Jokic’s stellar performance extends beyond the playoffs, as he was recently honored as the 2024 MVP, marking his third MVP title in the past four seasons.

The upcoming Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday, also at the Target Center in Minnesota.

The victor of this series will advance to the Western Conference Finals to face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Dallas Mavericks.
