A South Carolina pastor’s wife tragically took her own life in Robeson County, North Carolina, as confirmed by the local medical examiner.
Dr. Richard Johnson, the Robeson County Medical Examiner, disclosed details of the incident to the area’s ABC affiliate. He revealed that he was present at Lumbee River State Park on April 27, assisting the on-call medical examiner, where the body of 30-year-old Mica Miller was discovered. Mica was married to John-Paul Miller, the pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The circumstances surrounding Mica’s death had sparked speculation, particularly after her husband initially labeled it a suicide. Concerns and questions arose from friends and family members in the aftermath.
Public records indicate that Mica and John-Paul were undergoing divorce proceedings at the time of her passing.
Over the weekend, two separate memorials were held simultaneously to commemorate Mica’s lifeāone arranged by her husband and another by her friends.
Further revelations from police documents shed light on Mica’s state of mind in the weeks leading up to her death. According to the documents, she expressed fear for her safety, reporting instances of being followed, having her tires deflated, receiving harassing phone calls, and discovering a tracking device on her vehicle, as documented by a mechanic.
