The Las Vegas Aces on Sunday waived Dyaisha Fair, the former star player for Syracuse women’s basketball.

Despite being selected by the two-time defending champions in the second round of the WNBA draft last month, Fair’s time with the Las Vegas team was brief.

In the team’s 99-80 victory over the Indiana Fever on Saturday, she made her debut in the fourth game of the Aces’ season, playing four minutes and dishing out two assists.

Fair cemented her status as the third-leading scorer in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history with a stellar five-year career at Buffalo and Syracuse, totaling 3,403 points. The 5-foot-5 guard is from Rochester and has gained a lot of notoriety.

Now that they have won on Saturday, the Aces are tied for second place in the league after starting the season with a 3-1 record.
