Knicks Declare OG Anunoby (Hamstring Injury) Unavailable For Game 4 Against Pacers

The New York Knicks have officially ruled OG Anunoby out for Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday due to a left hamstring strain, an injury that also sidelined him for Game 3.

Despite being present with the team in Indianapolis, Anunoby has been undergoing treatment for his hamstring two to three times daily. However, sources disclosed to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that there hasn’t been sufficient improvement to anticipate his return for Game 5 on Tuesday.

Anunoby sustained the injury late in the third quarter of the Knicks’ victory in Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers, as he planted his leg while attempting a transition layup.

In contrast, Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, grappling with ankle and back issues, remains listed as questionable.

Fortunately for the Knicks, star player Jalen Brunson, previously hampered by a foot injury, is not mentioned on the injury report.

Anunoby has been a significant asset for the Knicks since his acquisition from Toronto in late December, notably achieving a playoff career-high of 28 points before his injury.

Currently, the Knicks hold a 2-1 lead in the first-round series against the Pacers.
