Ja Morant Makes Statement During Mavericks Vs. Timberwolves Game 2

The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves thrilled NBA fans during Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals with a back-and-forth contest that kept the outcome unpredictable.

While Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the Mavericks’ big men delivered strong performances, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns struggled for the Timberwolves. However, Naz Reid stepped up for Minnesota, and Ja Morant took to Twitter to acknowledge his impressive play.

“Naz be hoopin,” Morant said on Twitter.

In Game 2, Naz Reid scored 23 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and recorded 1 block, shooting 8/13 from the field and 7/9 from deep. Reid was the Timberwolves’ leading scorer and had the most field goals, making more three-pointers than the rest of his team combined. He performed so well that he played over Karl-Anthony Towns in the fourth quarter. Although it seemed Reid was destined to hit the potential game-winning buzzer-beater, fate had other plans.

Now, the Minnesota Timberwolves find themselves in an unfamiliar position, down 0-2 for the first time in these playoffs as they head to Dallas. If the Timberwolves are to live up to expectations, this is their moment to prove themselves on the road.
