Caitlin Clark‘s Indiana Fever Debut Most-Eatched WNBA Game Since 2001
Caitlin Clark’s first game for the Indiana Fever attracts 2.1 million viewers across the globe on Tuesday night, breaking the record for the most-watched WNBA game on ESPN.
Viewership reaches 2.3 million views for the game between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun. The Connecticut Sun won 92-71.
The game took after the Los Angeles Sparks and Houston Comets averaged 2.45 million viewers on NBC for a 2001 Memorial Day contest as the most-watched WNBA game.
Caitlin hit 20 points on 5-of-15 shooting and committed 10 turnovers in her Fever debut.
This new television record is not new to Clark. Clark and her Iowa mates played against Carolina in this year’s NCAA women’s championship game with a record of 18.7 million viewers on ESPN.
