Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have shared a competitive relationship over the years.
Their rivalry dates back to their encounters on the AAU circuit before they gained prominence in collegiate basketball.
In a recent press conference with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick, reflected on her past matchups with Reese.
“Oh gosh, that feels like forever ago,” Clark responded. “… The thing that really stands out is the offensive rebounding. She did the exact same thing to us when we were in college too. She’s just such a great offensive rebounder.
“… She’s always just had a knack for that. It’s not always something you can teach. I think she just has a really good eye for the ball off the rim and can go get it.”
Clark emphasized that Reese’s prowess in offensive rebounding has remained consistent across all levels of play.
Clark is set to return to the court on Thursday evening as the Indiana Fever take on the Atlanta Dream.
