‘The View Hosts’ Lighthearted Response To New York Earthquake With Event-Suited Song

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake shook New York on Friday morning, surprising people nationwide. However, the hosts of “The View” decided to lighten the mood by kicking off the show with a fitting song choice.

Entering the stage to Carole King’s “I Feel the Earth Move,” the hosts, led by Joy Behar, quipped about being alive and kicking in New York.

Their lighthearted moment was briefly interrupted by emergency alerts on their phones, likely related to the earthquake, although the broadcast had the sound censored.

Interestingly, not all the hosts felt the tremors. Sunny Hostin was oblivious to the quake, engrossed in Beyoncé’s music, while Ana Navarro’s dog alerted her to the situation.

Behar, a veteran of earthquake experiences, remained unfazed, having encountered three in her lifetime, including one in New York. Alyssa Farah Griffin also had previous quake encounters but found Friday’s tremor less intimidating.
