Amid escalating rumors of the Arizona Coyotes potentially relocating to Salt Lake City, their social media approach isn’t garnering them any new supporters and may even be alienating current ones. The team’s online posts have been met with criticism amidst the swirling speculation regarding a move to Utah for the upcoming season.
This speculation intensified following reports on Thursday revealing a version of the 2024-25 regular season schedule allegedly placing the team at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, home of the Utah Jazz, rather than at ASU’s Mullett Arena in Tempe, their current home as they pursue a new arena in Arizona.
In recent days, certain posts have particularly stoked fans’ frustrations, notably a hype video with the caption: “Committed to keeping Coyotes Hockey in the desert & building an arena in Phoenix.”
Another post, with the message: “We block out the noise. For our fans and for our state, we push forward and give our all. For the love of the game,” really angered fans of the franchise.
