Conor McGregor‘s influence continues to grow as he ventures into new territory.
During the BKFC KnuckleMania 4 event, the former UFC champion revealed his ownership stake in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.
“‘The Notorious Conor McGregor here,” McGregor said in a video that aired before the evening’s co-main event. “Ladies and gentlemen, the huge announcement that I have for you today, Conor McGregor myself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.”
“Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it,” McGregor said, referring to the BKFC president.
While Triller remains the majority shareholder, McGregor Sports and Entertainment now joins the fold as a co-owner of the promotion.
Despite expressing interest in competing for BKFC, McGregor’s focus remains on his upcoming UFC 303 bout against Michael Chandler. However, his involvement as an owner allows him to contribute to the organization in a different capacity.
Prior to this announcement, McGregor’s brands Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout were already involved with BKFC as sponsors.
“I think it’s just going to move the needle tremendously,” Feldman said. “We’re going to do a lot of big things. We’re going to open up a lot of new markets.”
With McGregor’s promotional prowess, this partnership is poised to elevate BKFC’s profile and attract more fighters to explore the world of bare knuckle competition.
