Xavier McKinney Shows Gratitude To Giants Fans Following Agreement With Packers

On Tuesday, Xavier McKinney, former New York Giants safety, expressed his gratitude towards Giants Nation for their steadfast support throughout the past four seasons.

Despite his notable performance in 2023, McKinney, who was not re-signed by the Giants, opted for a lucrative four-year contract with the Green Bay Packers, reportedly valued at $17 million per season and $68 million in total.

The Giants, however, deemed the offer too steep, despite McKinney’s stellar contributions and perfect attendance on the defensive end.

McKinney’s departure creates a significant void in the Giants’ secondary, particularly as the team also faces challenges in bolstering their cornerback lineup.

Currently, the Giants’ roster includes only three safeties: Jason Pinnock, Dane Belton, and Gervarrius Owens, necessitating swift action in filling McKinney’s position in the coming weeks.
