Pop superstar Rihanna delighted the guests of a lavish Indian wedding with her first full concert in eight years on Friday, March 1. The singer was reportedly paid over $6 million to perform at the pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani, the son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and his fiancée Radhika Merchant.
Rihanna, who had not done a full concert since her Anti World Tour in 2016, delivered a 19-song setlist that included some of her biggest hits, such as “We Found Love”, “Umbrella”, “Stay”, “Rude Boy”, “Diamonds”, and “Work”.
She also sang “All of the Lights”, her collaboration with Kanye West, and “Lift Me Up”, her Oscar-nominated song from the Marvel Studios “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.
According to the National, Rihanna did not forget to thank and congratulate the couple on their union. She said,
“I’m here tonight in honor of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”
The pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant stands as one of the most extravagant and expensive events in India, with a budget of over $100 million.
The event, which took place in Jamnagar, was part of a three-day extravaganza that included other notable figures such as Mark Zuckerberg, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and former U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka.
The couple will officially be tying the knot this year on July 12 in Mumbai.
