Purdue University is inviting cyber experts and security ethical hackers (white hats) to campus, urging them to bring forth potential worst-case digital scenarios and other cyber challenges.
The invitation extends to the annual CERIAS symposium taking place on April 2-3, where academic cyber researchers and industry professionals will collaborate to identify, prioritize, and address security threats and obstacles hindering progress in the cyber domain.
Entitled “Safeguarding Innovation: Protecting the Frontlines in Our Cyber-Physical World,” this year’s 25th Annual CERIAS Cybersecurity Symposium features nearly two dozen speakers and panelists. The opening keynote speech on April 2 at 9 a.m., titled “Emerging and Future Cybersecurity Risks for National Security,” will be delivered by Daniel “Rags” Ragsdale, Deputy Assistant Director of Workforce and Education in the White House Office of the National Cyber Director.
The event will commence with remarks from Purdue President Mung Chiang at 8:45 a.m. on April 2.
Online registration is open, with complimentary attendance for university students, faculty, and staff. The registration fee for military personnel or government employees is $180, while for others, it is $360. On-site registration will also be available at the event, hosted at Stewart Center, 128 Memorial Mall, Room G-32, West Lafayette.
