An Italian comedic show mocked US President Joe Biden over his mental fitness and memory loss in the eighth season of its TV show on February 23.
Maurizio Crozza, an Italian comedian acted Joe Biden at his one-man sketch show called “Fratelli di Crozza,” where he impersonates various public figures.
The comedian had impersonated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the nation’s late leader Silvio Berlusconi, as well as former US President Donald Trump.
Crozza portrayed Joe Biden as dazed and confused while holding a press conference at the White House. An Italian voice interprets Biden’s speech and tries to correct him as he rambles and forgets world leaders’ names.
The comedy skit climaxes when Biden pulls out the popular suitcase wielded by US Presidents which contains codes that can launch a catastrophic nuclear missile.
The off-screen voice reportedly warns him to not press the button because “That’s the briefcase with the atomic codes… You’re not alright. This is a big deal.”
“Now I’ll call the nurse, I forgot to take my pills,” Crozza’s Biden says, before pressing the big red button in the opened suitcase, letting out a blazing end.
The American president was also portrayed as forgetful and frail in another sketch on the comedy show.
President Joe Biden will be 82 years old in November and is the oldest sitting president in the history of the United States. If re-elected, he would be 86 at the end of his second term.
Joe Biden’s mental fitness has been a major source of concern and debate among the people, especially following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report which found that he couldn’t remember key details about his biography, such as when he was vice president and what year his son Beau died.
