Luton 1-2 Man Utd: Rasmus Hojlund Nets Two Goals As Erik ten Hag’s Team Narrowly Clinch Fourth Consecutive Victory

Rasmus Hojlund’s historic brace propelled Manchester United to a nail-biting 2-1 victory over Luton, marking their fourth consecutive league triumph and inching Erik ten Hag’s squad closer to the top four.

The 21-year-old etched his name in the annals of the Premier League as its youngest player to score in six consecutive matches, striking twice within seven minutes. His first goal, clinically dispatched after just 36 seconds following an error from Amari’i Bell, was followed by a deft chested finish from Alejandro Garnacho’s corner.

Despite Luton’s Carlton Morris narrowing the deficit in a thrilling opening 15 minutes, the hosts missed several golden opportunities to level the score, putting United under considerable pressure. Casemiro, teetering on a booking, avoided a potential red card for a challenge on Ross Barkley.

United found their rhythm after halftime, with Casemiro withdrawn at the interval. However, missed chances from Bruno Fernandes and Garnacho kept the outcome uncertain.

While Luton pressed for an equalizer until the final whistle, including a shot from Barkley that struck the crossbar, manager Rob Edwards questioned the amount of added time, given United’s lead.

Nevertheless, United clung to victory, moving within three points of fifth-placed Tottenham, with a top-five finish potentially securing a coveted Champions League berth next season.
