Adele has recently announced the difficult choice to cancel her Las Vegas residency dates for March due to ongoing health battles. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, she candidly discussed the challenges she has been grappling with regarding her well-being.
“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately, it’s all taken a toll on my voice,” she expressed.
Emphasizing that her decision stems from medical guidance, Adele mentioned, “And so on doctor orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap.”
Originally slated to debut her Weekends with Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in January 2022, Adele faced initial hurdles even before the commencement of the shows. Delays in production and team members battling COVID-19 prompted the postponement of the residency’s start.
Despite these setbacks, she remained resolute and announced rescheduled shows, initially set for November and extending through March 2023.
Demonstrating her resilience, Adele outlined plans for an additional leg of the residency, scheduled from June to November 2023, followed by an extension to June 2024, encompassing 32 extra dates. Despite the challenges, Adele is set to resume her Weekends with Adele residency on May 18, with nine added shows culminating in mid-June.
Adele’s transparency about her health struggles and her determination to prioritize her well-being resonate deeply with her fans. Her decision underscores her commitment to delivering exceptional performances while ensuring her health remains a priority. As she navigates through these obstacles, fans eagerly await her return to the stage, demonstrating unwavering support for the beloved singer.
