Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the victor of the 17th season of Bigg Boss, surpassing the 100-day mark inside the Bigg Boss house.
Defeating actor Abhishek Kumar in the finale, Munawar expressed his joy by sharing a photo on Instagram alongside host Salman Khan, who sported a casual look while Munawar grinned in a black-and-white suit, holding the coveted trophy.
In addition to the prestigious title, Munawar took home a substantial cash prize of ₹50 lakh. The finale, coinciding with Munawar’s birthday, became a memorable celebration for him. In an interview with Times Now, he expressed that it was the best birthday one could have.
Throughout Bigg Boss 17, Munawar showcased his strength as a contestant, initially gaining attention for his shayaris. However, his popularity faced a setback when his game took a negative turn following the entry of his ex Ayesha Khan into the house.
Sharing the photo, Munawar wrote, “Bohot Bohot shukriya janta aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar trophy Dongri aa hi gayi (thank you my fans for all the love and support. Finally the trophy is here). Special thanks to bade Bhai @beingsalmankhan sir for all your guidance. Saari ‘Munawar ki janta aur Munawar ke warrior’ ka dil se shukriya (thanks to all of my fans from the bottom of my heart).”
Ayesha made various allegations against him, from accusations of cheating to claiming false promises and even mentioning his ex-girlfriend Nazila. Despite these challenges, Munawar stood resilient and secured victory with substantial votes in his favor.
Before his Bigg Boss stint, Munawar achieved fame by winning Lock Upp, a show hosted by Kangana Ranaut.
