Microsoft‘s Teams services, featured in the company’s 365 software suite, were reinstated on Saturday following an interruption that impeded access to the messaging platform.
“After extended monitoring and mitigation efforts, we’ve confirmed that our Microsoft Teams service and features have been restored or have returned to optimal health,” Microsoft said in its post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
On Friday, numerous users reported issues with the messaging platform, with complaints reaching over 14,000 incidents in the afternoon, as indicated by the outage tracking website Downdetector.com. All reported incidents seemed to be resolved by Saturday.
The company had earlier acknowledged a networking problem affecting a segment of the Teams service and mentioned the execution of a failover to address the issue.
Widely utilized by professionals for scheduling online meetings, chatting, and file-sharing, Microsoft Teams is a prominent component of the company’s software suite.
Downdetector monitors outages by aggregating status reports from various sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.
