Luis Diaz Scores As Liverpool Knocks Out Arsenal From FA Cup

Luis Diaz’s goal was enough to secure a win for Liverpool against top rivals Arsenal, sending them to the next round of the FA Cup.

Arsenal had a couple of beautiful chances like their last two premier league games but they squandered them.

Klopp’s side struggled in the first half, with Arsenal throwing their legs forward, but the Gunners could not convert any ball.

At half-time, Klopp made some tactical changes for Liverpool and it brought their game to life.

The visitors twice struck the crossbar before an inswinging Trent Alexander-Arnold free kick was diverted home by Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior to give Liverpool the lead in the 80th minute.

And with Mikel Arteta sending on forwards and Arsenal throwing bodies forward in pursuit of an equalizer, Luis Diaz got a stoppage-time finish that sealed the deal.

Mikel Arteta seems to have an attacking problem as the forwards were sending the ball anywhere but the back of the net, during the match.

Arsenal has lost three consecutive games recently and have lost four marches in their last six games which is a thing of concern.

Liverpool – who take on Fulham in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday – will be pleased to have avoided a replay, which would have taken place next week.
