The National Basketball Association (NBA) has officially designated Los Angeles as the host city for NBA All-Star 2026.

Scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, the 75th NBA All-Star Game will unfold at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, serving as the home venue for the LA Clippers. This marks the seventh time that Los Angeles will host the NBA All-Star, and notably, the first occasion at the Intuit Dome, extending the midseason showcase’s global reach.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, along with key figures including Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer, Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr., unveiled this exciting announcement at a press conference held at Intuit Dome.

Set to open in August 2024, Intuit Dome, a multifunctional facility, will become the new home of the LA Clippers. The collaboration between the LA Clippers and the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission played a pivotal role in bringing NBA All-Star 2026 to the vibrant city.

The NBA All-Star festivities will commence on Friday, Feb. 13 at Intuit Dome with NBA Rising Stars, showcasing top rookies and second-year NBA players. State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 14 will feature the Kia Skills Challenge, Starry 3-Point Challenge, and AT&T Slam Dunk. The culmination of NBA All-Star 2026 will be the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 15.

Beyond the main events at Intuit Dome, the NBA will host diverse activities across Los Angeles and Inglewood, including at Kia Forum and the Los Angeles Convention Center. These events, ranging from NBA All-Star Practice presented by AT&T to the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and a fan fest, will provide basketball programming and entertainment, granting fans up-close access to NBA players, legends, and celebrities.

Underlining its commitment to social responsibility, the NBA will conduct various NBA Cares events during NBA All-Star 2026. Collaborating with schools and nonprofit organizations, the league aims to reach and support thousands of children and families in Los Angeles, Inglewood, and surrounding areas.

NBA All-Star 2026 signifies the seventh occurrence in the Los Angeles area, following events in 2018, 2011, 2004, 1983, 1972, and 1963. The unique historical significance is highlighted by previous MVPs, all named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and with a minimum of 11 All-Star Game appearances: LeBron James (2018), Kobe Bryant (2011), Shaquille O’Neal (2004), Julius Erving (1983), Jerry West (1972), and Bill Russell (1963).

Recalling the dramatic 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, Team LeBron, led by LeBron James, staged a comeback to defeat Team Stephen 148-145, marking the first All-Star Game without a traditional East vs. West matchup.

The upcoming NBA All-Star 2026 holds special significance as it commemorates the 15th anniversary of the 2011 celebration in Los Angeles, featuring standout performances by Blake Griffin, who played on winning teams in the All-Star Game and Rising Stars, and Kobe Bryant, who secured his record-tying fourth NBA All-Star Game MVP Award.
